        "content": "<p>Bontang, East Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The investment climate in Bontang\nCity, East Kalimantan, is becoming increasingly attractive to investors,\nas evidenced by the achievement exceeding the target, recorded at 123.23\nper cent in 2025, namely from the initial target set at Rp2.5 trillion,\nsuccessfully realised at Rp3.08 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot only that, this achievement also reflects significant growth of\n13.66 per cent compared to the 2024 investment realisation,\u201d said the\nHead of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP)\nof Bontang City, Muhammad Aspian Nur, in Bontang on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>This 2025 investment realisation exceeding the target, he continued,\nalso shows that Bontang City is increasingly trusted by investors both\ndomestic and foreign.<\/p>\n<p>From the total realisation, investment is still dominated by Domestic\nInvestment (PMDN) reaching Rp3.02 trillion. Meanwhile, Foreign\nInvestment (PMA) is worth Rp54.11 billion.<\/p>\n<p>This investment achievement comes from 323 projects realised by 81\nlarge business actors, thus showing fairly dynamic investment activity\nand the continuity of strategic projects in the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor PMA, there are two main sectors dominating the 2025 investment\nrealisation, namely housing, followed by industrial and office areas.\nThese two sectors indicate that Bontang is not only developing as an\nindustrial city, but also beginning to show attractiveness in the\nservices and hospitality sectors,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, for PMDN, the investment structure is dominated by the\nprocessing industry sector, specifically the basic chemical industry,\nchemical goods, and pharmaceuticals with a contribution of 85.96 per\ncent.<\/p>\n<p>Followed by the trade and repair sector (5.18 per cent), basic metal\nindustry, metal goods, not machinery (3.16 per cent), other service\nenterprises (2.32 per cent), hotels and restaurants (1.12 per cent).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe dominance of the chemical industry sector reinforces Bontang\u2019s\ncharacteristics as a strategic industrial area in East Kalimantan,\nsupported by the presence of large industries and their supporting\necosystem,\u201d said Aspian Nur.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the distribution of investment per sub-district in Bontang\nis for North Bontang Sub-district Rp1.17 trillion or 98.94 per cent,\nWest Bontang Rp9.36 billion or 0.79 per cent, and South Bontang\nSub-district Rp3.2 billion or a contribution of 0.27 per cent.<\/p>",
