        "content": "<p>Minister of Investment and Downstreaming\/Head of the Investment\nCoordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani stated that investment\ncontributed around 32% to Indonesia\u2019s economic growth of 5.61% in the\nfirst quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Rosan said that this investment contribution is higher than previous\ntrends, which generally ranged from 28 to 29%.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlhamdulillah, this 5.61% economic growth shows that our economy is\nrunning very well, very positive,\u201d Rosan said after a meeting at the\nCoordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, Jakarta, quoted from Antara,\nTuesday, 5 May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that out of the total growth, investment provided a\ncontribution of around 1.8 percentage points.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom my portion, in terms of investment, it contributes 32% of the\ntotal 5.61% growth or about 1.8%,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the increase in investment contribution is one of\nthe factors driving the strong performance of the national economy.\nRosan said that investment has generally contributed below 30% to\neconomic growth so far.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo far, investment has contributed around 28 to 29% usually.\nAlhamdulillah, this (has increased to) 32%,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He assessed that this achievement reflects investment activities\nrunning above target during that period. According to him, strong\ninvestment performance has a positive impact on various economic\nsectors. Rosan added that a larger investment contribution is expected\nto maintain the momentum of economic growth going forward.<\/p>\n<p>He said the government will continue to encourage a conducive\ninvestment climate amid global dynamics. In addition, the increase in\ninvestment is also seen as strengthening business players\u2019 confidence in\nthe domestic economic conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that\nIndonesia\u2019s economy grew by 5.61% year-on-year in the first quarter of\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>BPS Head Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti stated that this growth was\nsupported by strong domestic economic activities.<\/p>\n<p>In value terms, Indonesia\u2019s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the first\nquarter of 2026 was recorded at Rp3,447.7 trillion on a constant price\nbasis (ADHK) and Rp6,187.2 trillion on a current price basis (ADHB).<\/p>",
