        "content": "<p>Investama to build two toll roads in West Java<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): PT Investama Kusuma Artha, a subsidiary of<br>\nDrassindo Group has won the government&apos;s tender to build and<br>\noperate a new toll road connecting Jatiasih in Bekasi and<br>\nKarawang, West Java, a source said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The source told The Jakarta Post  that the ministry of<br>\npublic works had apparently approved the company&apos;s proposal to<br>\ndevelop the toll road project.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The ministry of public works has seemingly approved the<br>\ncompany&apos;s proposal,&quot; the source said.<\/p>\n<p>The source, however, did not disclose the amount of investment<br>\nfor the toll road project. &quot;Go and check with the ministry,&quot; he<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Director General for Highway Development of the Public Works<br>\nMinistry Suharsono Martakim neither confirmed nor denied about<br>\nthe appointment of PT Investama to construct the Jatiasih-<br>\nKarawang toll road.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I cannot yet confirm if the company won the project,&quot; he told<br>\nthe Post yesterday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The government has recently opened a tender to develop 15 toll<br>\nroad  projects in the country under a build, operate and transfer<br>\n(BOT) contract. They include the 10-km toll road linking Medan -<br>\nKualanamu in North Sumatra, Antasari - Depok (10 km), Bantar<br>\nGebang in Bekasi - Cileungsi in Bogor  (15 km), Sedyatmo - Teluk<br>\nNaga in Tangerang (15 km), Jatiasih in Bekasi- Karawang, West<br>\nJava (35 km) and Tanjung Sari - Dawuan in West Java (50 km).<\/p>\n<p>Other toll road projects are the 180-km toll road linking<br>\nNagreg - Ciamis in West and  Cilacap in Central Java, Demak -<br>\nTuban in East Java ( 150 km), Cilacap - Pejagan in Central Java<br>\n(90 km), Cilacap - Yogyakarta (170 km), Probolinggo - Banyuwangi<br>\nin East Java (160 km), Ngawi - Babat in East Java (115 km),<br>\nTanjung Morawa in West Java - Tebing Tinggi in North Sumatra ( 40<br>\nkm), Tebing Tinggi - Prapat in North Sumatra (85 km) and<br>\nBakauhuni - Bandar Lampung - Branti Airport in Lampung (80 km).<\/p>\n<p>The source said PT Investama Kusuma Artha had been selected<br>\ndue to its good reputation in the toll road construction.<\/p>\n<p>The firm is part of a consortium  which recently won a<br>\ncontract to build the Rp 1.4 trillion toll project connecting<br>\nKampung Melayu in East Jakarta and Bekasi in West Java.<\/p>\n<p>Other members of the consortium include PT Jasa Marga, PT<br>\nKusuma Chandra Buana, PT Dyandra Pancagraha and PT Kresna Tara.<br>\n(09)<\/p>",
