This activity serves as the opening\nagenda in the series of celebrations for the Independence Month of the\nRepublic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Although dominated by the Muslim community, the event showcased the\npluralistic face of Indonesia with the presence of followers from\nvarious religions, including Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Catholic, and\nConfucianism. Their presence serves as a symbol of unity amidst diverse\nethnicities and beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>Wayan Kembarayana, a Hindu resident from Cijantung who attended with\na group of 50 people, expressed his hope that this activity would\nstrengthen national harmony. He stated that he did not mind that the\nevent included many Islamic traditions, such as the recitation of the\nAl-Qur\u2019an and salawat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe hope is that Indonesia remains peaceful in the current\nsituation. I lived in Bali for a long time, and I am used to such\nconditions; tolerance and mutual respect are key,\u201d said Wayan at the\nevent location.<\/p>\n<p>The programme began with choir performances from the Directorate\nGeneral of Christian Community Guidance and the Directorate General of\nCatholic Community Guidance of the Ministry of Religion. The agenda\ncontinued with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur\u2019an,\ncongregational Maghrib prayers, and the chanting of salawat by Hadrah\nAhbabul Musthofa.<\/p>\n<p>As the core of the event, Habib Syech bin Abdul Qodir Assegaf led the\nNational Salawat, which was solemnly followed by all attendees. To\nconclude, the peak of the event featured a joint prayer led by\nrepresentatives of various religious leaders in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>The National Dhikr and Prayer is expected to serve as a moment of\nreflection for all elements of the nation to maintain peace and\nstrengthen the spirit of nationalism ahead of the commemoration of the\nRepublic of Indonesia\u2019s Independence Day.<\/p>",
