Intelligence is a determining factor in anticipating security
\nproblems. It serves as a preventive measure against disturbances,
\nunlike the fire brigade which acts whenever there is a fire
\ntaking place. Intelligence must be able to anticipate, predict
\nand draw an analysis and ultimately make the right decisions to
\nthwart catastrophe.<\/p>\n
Under this backdrop intelligence's role is crucial, especially
\nin dealing with terrorism and conflicts among various social
\ngroups that lately have prevailed in several regions, not to
\nmention the fact that we all lack the techniques and ethics in
\nimplementing democracy correctly.<\/p>\n
Further, the intelligence bill that is being prepared should
\nbe given due consideration. We hope the intelligence law would be
\nable to answer the challenges in future and the Military and the
\nPolice should work together to accomplish the common goal of
\nintelligence. Overlapping jobs must be strictly avoided.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that the process of establishing the
\nintelligence law must involve various elements of the nation so
\nas to produce a law that can guarantee justice and meet the needs
\nof democracy.<\/p>\n
