        "content": "<p>Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf, or Gus Ipul, inspected the\nconstruction of the permanent People\u2019s School for Lampung Province in\nSouth Lampung Regency on Sunday (26\/4\/2026). He is optimistic that the\nproject is progressing according to schedule and can be used in the\n2026\/2027 academic year.<\/p>\n<p>The People\u2019s School is part of a programme to build 104 permanent\nschools in various regions, initiated under the direction of President\nPrabowo Subianto. In its implementation, the land is prepared by the\nLampung Provincial Government, while the construction process is handled\nby the Ministry of Public Works with funding from the state budget.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am grateful and pleased that the construction here is going well,\nwith the target to finish in June,\u201d said Gus Ipul in his statement on\nSunday (26\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>To meet this target, the construction is supported by around 600\nworkers at each site. Nationally, approximately 60,000 workers are\ninvolved in building more than 100 locations for permanent People\u2019s\nSchools.<\/p>\n<p>The government is also continuing to promote expanded access to\nquality education through this programme. After the number of students\nnearly reached 16,000 last year, the government targets adding more than\n30,000 students in 2026, bringing the total to over 45,000 students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNext year, it will add another 60,000, meaning more than 100,000,\nand in 2027, insyaallah, it will add more than 90,000 students. So by\n2028, there will be more than 200,000 students participating in teaching\nand learning activities at People\u2019s Schools,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In the future, the government targets having one permanent People\u2019s\nSchool building in every regency. If the land is prepared by the\nregency\/city government, the school will prioritise students from that\narea. Meanwhile, if the land is provided by the provincial government,\nthe students can come from various regencies\/cities within the\nprovince.<\/p>\n<p>Gus Ipul reiterated his optimism that the construction in Lampung can\nbe completed on time so that teaching and learning activities can begin\nsoon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs of today, it is still on target and expected to finish in June,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the construction of the Kotabaru People\u2019s School in\nPurwotani Village, Jati Agung Subdistrict, South Lampung, continues to\nshow progress. As of now, the physical achievement has reached 35.52\npercent.<\/p>\n<p>This project, built on a 95,478 square metre plot, is being worked on\nfor 188 calendar days, starting from 15 December 2025 and targeted to be\ncompleted on 20 June 2026. A total of 677 workers are involved in the\nconstruction process.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, this school has a building area of 29,991 square metres with\na building base area of 17,804 square metres, as well as an open area of\n77,674 square metres. The area is designed with a building base\ncoefficient of 18.65 percent, a building area of 0.31 percent, and green\nopen space reaching 69.56 percent. The construction is also divided into\nfive zones to ensure effective implementation.<\/p>\n<p>Once completed, this permanent People\u2019s School is targeted to\naccommodate 1,080 students in 36 classes, with a capacity of 30 students\nper class, from primary school, junior high school to senior high school\nlevels.<\/p>",
