        "content": "<p>Injured crash victims remain hospitalized<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta Post, Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>Seven people who were seriously injured in a bus and train<br>\ncollision in Sragen, Central Java, on Monday, are still<br>\nundergoing intensive medical treatment at three hospitals in<br>\nSurakarta and Sragen.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, 15 others who were killed in the deadly<br>\ncollision were buried on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Thoriq, Anggita, Muslikah and Sunah are being treated at the<br>\nBrayat Minulyo General Hospital in Solo, Tri Muryati is<br>\nundergoing intensive treatment at the Moewardi General Hospital<br>\nin Solo while Wahyudi and Tarjono are at the Yakssi General<br>\nHospital in Semarang.<\/p>\n<p>Tabien, one of the injured victim's relatives, said in<br>\nSurakarta on Tuesday that all the victims would probably need a<br>\nlong time to recover.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that Thoriq was still on the critical list while<br>\nMuslikah who suffered a fractured spine and Sunah whose left leg<br>\nwas broken would undergo major surgery.<\/p>\n<p>He confirmed that state-owned railway company PT Kereta Api<br>\nIndonesia (PT KAI) and insurance company PT Jasa Raharja have<br>\nexpressed their commitment to pay compensation to the relatives<br>\nof the deceased and provide financial assistance for the wounded<br>\nvictims until they fully recovered.<\/p>\n<p>All the victims and those killed in the incident were family<br>\nmembers. They were all victims of a collision between a train and<br>\na passenger bus transporting them from Tegal to Sragen to attend<br>\na wedding party in Gondang village in Sragen regency.<\/p>\n<p>The tragedy occurred when the economy class train Matarmaja<br>\nwhich was on its way from Jakarta to Malang, East Java, hit the<br>\nbus and dragged it some 200 meters at 2:20 a.m. on Monday,<br>\nkilling 15 of the bus passengers instantly.<\/p>\n<p>The barrier at the railway crossing did not function well and<br>\nthe bell did not ring.
