Jakarta — PT Hotel Indonesia Natour, operating as InJourney
Hospitality, is preparing operational strategies and specialised guest
experiences at its Bali properties following the convergence of Eid
al-Fitr (1447 Hijri) and Nyepi (Balinese New Year) celebrations this
year.

“Bali remains a favoured destination during this Eid period. We are
projecting occupancy rates in Bali will reach 64 per cent,” said
InJourney Hospitality Chief Executive Officer Christine Hutabarat during
a press conference at Sarinah Building in Jakarta on Monday.

She stated that this period presents both a challenge and an
opportunity for hotel occupancy rates in Bali.

According to Hutabarat, the Nyepi celebration, which is characterised
by the cessation of all outdoor activities, requires hotels to ensure
complete operational readiness, particularly regarding logistics and
guest services.

“We must ensure all operational requirements are secure before Nyepi,
as guests cannot leave the hotel and outdoor activities are severely
limited,” she said.

Beyond logistical preparation, the company is introducing several
themed packages including “Silent Escape,” “Sekala Niskala,” and “Silent
Stay,” designed to ensure guests receive a comfortable experience during
Nyepi.

Hutabarat stated that these concepts prioritise personal experiences,
including in-hotel activities, dining programmes, as well as fitness and
relaxation services.

She added that the convergence of Eid and Nyepi has prompted
management to strengthen cross-unit coordination, including the
recruitment of seasonal staff and round-the-clock operational
monitoring.

“We want to ensure guest experience remains seamless even during
periods of major religious celebrations,” she said.

She further noted that this period is expected to maintain domestic
tourist interest in choosing Bali as their primary Eid holiday
destination this year.
",
