        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero), or InJourney, has\nassessed that geopolitical conflict in the Middle East and rising global\nenergy prices pose potential pressures on Indonesia\u2019s aviation and\ntourism sectors, even as domestic tourism trends continue to demonstrate\npositive growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all understand that conditions in energy, exchange rates, and the\nglobal situation will certainly have an impact. It is inevitable that\nthere will be an impact, including on aviation,\u201d said Veronica H.\nSisilia, Commercial Director of InJourney, during a press conference for\nInJourney Hospitality held in preparation for the Eid al-Fitr holidays\nin 1447 Hijri in 2026 at Sarinah Building on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that global dynamics, including surges in world oil prices\nand currency depreciation, will generally impact the transportation and\ntravel industries.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, she stated that the domestic tourism sector remains\nrelatively resilient. Based on internal data, growth in domestic\ntourists in 2025 reached approximately 14.4 per cent, with movement\ntotalling 101 million trips.<\/p>\n<p>Veronica said the company hopes that this growth trend can serve as a\nsupport mechanism should international markets face pressure due to\ngeopolitical circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope domestic tourism remains strong. That is one of the\nfoundations of the tourism sector at present,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>She added that InJourney, which manages an ecosystem encompassing\nairports, destinations, and hotels, continues to prepare strategies\nbased on cultural strengths and national priority destinations to\nmaintain tourism appeal amid global uncertainty.<\/p>\n<p>InJourney projects that tourist movement during the Eid al-Fitr\nholiday period in 2026 will continue to show positive trends given the\nextended holiday break and increased interest in domestic travel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDomestic tourism is, regardless of what InJourney prepares, rooted\nin culture and what we have in Indonesian culture.
