PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) is adding 53 flight\nroutes to strengthen national air connectivity and support mobility as\nwell as growth in the transportation and tourism sectors.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom January to April 2026, there will be 53 new flight routes\noperated at various airports, consisting of routes that have never been\noperated before as well as additional new flight services,\u201d said\nInJourney Airports\u2019 President Director Mohammad R. Pahlevi in a\nstatement in Jakarta on Saturday, 2 May 2026.<\/p>\n
According to him, the number of routes during that period will\nincrease by 15 percent compared to the same period the previous year,\nwith the addition of 46 flight routes.<\/p>\n
An example of a route that has never been operated before is Sam\nRatulangi Airport Manado - Naha Tahuna Airport, which will now be served\nby Wings Air starting in May 2026.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, new airline routes to add flight services on existing\nroutes, for example, Garuda Indonesia will begin flights from I Gusti\nNgurah Rai Airport Bali to Mozes Kilangin Timika Airport in May\n2026.<\/p>\n
He stated that the development of the flight network is a concrete\nstep by InJourney Airports to position airports as agents of development\nto support economic growth and equity as well as contributions to the\nnational tourism sector.<\/p>\n
According to him, airport connectivity is a key factor in\nfacilitating public mobility as well as the smooth flow of goods and\nlogistics.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn line with this, InJourney Airports will always respond to\nexisting challenges to ensure air connectivity through the role of\nairports remains maintained and sustainable,\u201d Pahlevi said.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, he mentioned current challenges, including those\nresulting from the Middle East conflict that has caused high aviation\nfuel prices, thereby impacting sentiments of rising air ticket\nprices.<\/p>\n
In response to this, InJourney Airports continues to strive to\nstrengthen collaboration with the aviation ecosystem, particularly\nairlines, regulators, airport operators, and other related\nstakeholders.<\/p>\n
This is to implement various route development strategies so that\nairports can continue to increase the number of flight routes to meet\nconsumer demand and enhance competitive market competition.<\/p>\n
He said that from 14 to 16 April 2026, InJourney Airports\nparticipated in Routes Asia as an effort to develop the flight network\nin the Asia-Pacific region amid existing challenges. During the event,\nInJourney Airports held strategic meetings with 28 airlines and 16\nairports.<\/p>\n
The airline that has just opened a flight route at InJourney Airports\nis T\u2019way Air on the Soekarno-Hatta Airport - Incheon Airport (South\nKorea) route starting 29 April 2026.<\/p>\n
Then, in May 2026, Scoot will open the HAS Hanandjoeddin Belitung\nAirport - Changi Singapore Airport route, and in June 2026, the Supadio\nPontianak Airport - Changi route.<\/p>\n
Spring Airlines is planned to serve routes from Guangzhou and\nShenzhen to Soekarno-Hatta Airport starting in June 2026.<\/p>\n
Several airlines also have significant opportunities to open routes\nat various InJourney Airports, which will be announced soon, such as\nCentrum Air which will serve the Tashkent, Uzbekistan to I Gusti Ngurah\nRai, Bali route, as well as Greater Bay Airlines which will make its\nmaiden flight from Hong Kong to Juanda International Airport,\nSurabaya.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the international route market, our target within two years is to\nadd frequency to existing flight routes and open new routes. This serves\nas the basis for building direct long-haul flight connectivity from\nairports in Indonesia,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
