The incident began\nwhen a KRL on the Bekasi-Cikarang route was obstructed by a car at the\nJPL 85 level crossing. \u201cBased on the initial chronology, the accident\nstarted when the KRL trainset on the Bekasi\u2013Cikarang route was hit by a\ncar at the JPL 85 level crossing,\u201d said Minister of Transportation Dudy\nPurwagandhi, quoted from Antara on Tuesday (28\/4\/2026). Traffic officers\nstopped another KRL train, coded PLB 5568, heading to Cikarang at East\nBekasi Station due to the incident affecting 5181. However, the Argo\nBromo Anggrek train (KA 4) on the Jakarta-Surabaya route did not stop\nfully and collided with the rear carriages of PLB 5568, which was\nstationary on the platform at East Bekasi Station. The accident resulted\nin 14 people killed and 84 others injured.
