Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Information Commission (KI) is\ncommitted to ensuring that transparency and the dissemination of\ninformation through education serve as the key to the success of the\nWaste Sorting from the Source Movement, aiming for a broad impact on\nsociety.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe awareness to sort waste will not grow without education and\ninformation that is easily accessible to the public,\u201d said the Chairman\nof the Jakarta Information Commission, Harry Ara Hutpendoro, during a\nsocialisation session regarding Jakarta Governor Instruction Number 5 of\n2024 concerning the Waste Sorting from the Source Movement at RSUD\nCipayung in Jakarta, on Thursday.<\/p>\n
He noted that the issue of waste can no longer be viewed solely as\nthe responsibility of the government.<\/p>\n
He stated that the success of waste management depends heavily on the\nawareness and participation of the community to begin sorting waste\nstarting from homes, workplaces, and public service facilities.<\/p>\n
According to him, the waste problem cannot be solved by the\ngovernment alone, but is the responsibility of all Jakarta\nresidents.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Director of RSUD Cipayung, Dr Agustina, appreciated\nthe material presented, noting that it not only increased insight but\nalso served as motivation for the staff at RSUD Cipayung to become more\nactive in implementing a waste sorting culture within the hospital\nenvironment.<\/p>\n
This effort is considered aligned with the hospital\u2019s commitment to\ncreating a clean, healthy, and environmentally friendly healthcare\nservice environment.<\/p>\n
This socialisation serves as a reminder that waste management is not\njust the responsibility of cleaning staff or the government, but a\nshared responsibility that must begin within one\u2019s own workplace.<\/p>\n
She expressed hope that education regarding waste sorting can\ncontinue sustainably so that it becomes an ingrained culture for both\nemployees and the public visiting RSUD Cipayung.<\/p>\n
