Ivonne Anggraini, President Director\nof PT Grahabuana Cikarang, explained that Jababeka is now transforming\ninto Indonesia\u2019s first Industrial Tourism City. This marks a paradigm\nshift from a purely manufacturing zone to an integrated destination that\ncombines industry, housing, education and tourism within an Asia-scale\necosystem. Ivonne Anggraini said the economic potential of Jababeka is\nmassive, noting that the area is home to more than 2,000 multinational\ncompanies from around the world. Ivonne emphasised that Jababeka is no\nlonger merely a production site but has grown into a dynamic autonomous\ncity. \u201cWe see that, of course, we are an industrial destination so that\nJabodeka becomes a place where they make not only an industrial city,\nbut a city of a size for Asia, because we here also have hotels, golf,\nso everything is already in place for education as well,\u201d she said at\nMenara Batavia (6\/3). The integration of industry and tourism is also\nsupported by comprehensive property infrastructure. Through the concept\nof the \u201cFactory of Dignity\u201d, Jababeka aims to open access for the\neducation world to see directly the creativity inside the factory. She\nadded that this development is not just a matter of selling property,\nbut selling innovations. \u201cWhy do we open the Jabodeka Family Hotel area?\nIt is not about selling; we are not selling at all. We are selling\ninnovations and also participants who are affordable because not all\nfactories sell directly, but some may become new positions later as the\nJabodeka sales hub,\u201d she explained. In line with this vision, Bekasi\nRegency\u2019s Acting Head of Tourism, Andri Julianto, welcomed the\ntransformation as a momentum for regional economic revival. The\nIndustrial City Tourism program is seen as a concept of a creative\neconomy that leverages factory potential as an edu-tourism attraction.\nAndri said the move would have broad economic impacts by creating new\njobs. He further stressed that Bekasi\u2019s world-class infrastructure is a\nkey asset for international competition and that government-private\nsector synergy is essential for the program\u2019s success. \u201cI am confident\nthat we invite government interests, industry players, academics, media\nand the public to work together to build this program for everyone\u2019s\nbenefit,\u201d he said.
