        "content": "<p>The Deputy Regent of Indrammuayu, Syaefudin, has filed a pre-trial\nmotion following his designation as a suspect by the West Java High\nProsecutor\u2019s Office (Kejati Jabar) regarding the Indramayu Regional\nHouse of Representatives (DPRD) housing allowance case. The lawsuit was\nregistered at the Bandung District Court (PN Bandung) under case number\n22\/Pid.Pra\/2026\/PN Bdg on Thursday, 17 September 2026.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Case Search Information System (SIPP), the\nclassification of the case pertains to the legality of the enforcement\nmeasures used to designate the suspect. The indictment description\nstates: \u201cCase Classification: The legality or illegality of the\nexecution of Coercive Measures for Suspect Designation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Responding to the lawsuit, the Head of the Legal and Human Rights\nDivision of the West Java Prosecutor\u2019s Office, Nur Sricahwijaya, stated\nthat his office has prepared a team to face the pre-trial proceedings\nand is ready to proceed with the trial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Prosecutor\u2019s Office has prepared a team to face the pre-trial\napplication submitted by the individual concerned,\u201d he said when\nconfirmed on Monday (21\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>For context, Syaefudin was named a suspect over alleged corruption\ninvolving housing and transportation allowances for the Indramayu DPRD\nfor the 2022-2025 fiscal year, alongside two others, identified as IM\nand AF. All three are officials in the Indramayu Regency.<\/p>\n<p>Syaefudin allegedly committed the alleged corruption while serving as\nthe Chairman of the Indramayu Regency DPRD for the 2019-2024 period. At\nthat time, IM served as the Acting Secretary of the Indramayu DPRD,\nwhile AF served as the Secretary of the Indramayu DPRD for\n2022-20ng5.<\/p>\n<p>The West Java Prosecutor\u2019s Office summoned all three individuals on\n12 June 2026. However, only IM and AF appeared; Syaefudin failed to\nattend the summons, citing illness.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecution subsequently issued a follow-up summons for the\nDeputy Regent. All three suspects have not yet been detained by the West\nJava Prosecutor\u2019s Office despite being officially named suspects.<\/p>",
