Indovision responds<\/p>\n
With regard to the letter from Michael Beer titled Indovision
\ndoes not care (The Jakarta Post, April 26), we would like to
\nclarify as follows.<\/p>\n
Emails and SMS are the most cost-efficient means of
\ncommunication (also the best communication inventions in our
\nlifetime), thus we are encouraging our subscribers to use these
\ntechnologies to bring down operating costs both for our
\nsubscribers and for Indovision.<\/p>\n
Our objective is to bring down operating cost so that we can
\nadd more content value when opportunities arise, like HBO
\nSignature, at no extra charge for our subscribers.<\/p>\n
All SMS are electronically recorded as we receive them from
\nthe telecommunications providers, and they are reviewed
\nregularly. Thus, we believe (a) we have provided the necessary
\ndiscipline to ensure that all messages received are attended too;
\nand (b) the majority of our subscribers, if not all, own cellular
\nphones and SMS is the most widely used method of communication.<\/p>\n
However, if you find our service does not meet your
\nexpectations, we would appreciate it very much if you would
\nprovide us with your complete home address, other than your PO
\nbox, so we can serve you better.<\/p>\n
