        "content": "<p>Indosiar posts Rp 337b profit<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Private television company PT Indosiar Visual Mandiri<br>\nposted Rp 337 billion (US$386.4 million) in net profit in 2001, a<br>\n212 percent increase from the previous year's profit.<\/p>\n<p>\"The increase was due to marketing, competitive advertising<br>\nfee and increasing commercial broadcasting time, especially non<br>\nprime time,\" the company said in a release on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Based on a survey by AC Nielsen Indonesia, the company said it<br>\ntook 27 percent of advertising expenditures in the television<br>\nsector that year.<\/p>\n<p>Earnings rose 43 percent to Rp 854 billion from Rp 599<br>\nbillion, while operating profit rose 75 percent to Rp 321 billion<br>\nfrom Rp 183 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Costs for program and broadcasting rose 22 percent to Rp 390<br>\nbillion, while administration costs and general costs rose 48<br>\npercent to Rp 142 billion. --JP<\/p>",
