This was announced during the Cheap Food\nMovement (GPM) event jointly held by Polri in North Jakarta on Friday,\n13 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, Director General of State Logistics Agency\n(Perum Bulog), stated that national rice stocks have currently reached\napproximately 3.9 million tonnes. This figure represents the highest\nposition for March since Indonesia\u2019s independence.<\/p>\n<p>He also predicted that national rice stocks will continue to increase\nuntil the end of this month. According to him, the amount is estimated\nto reach more than 4.3 million tonnes by the end of March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police\n(Wakapolri), Police General Dedi Prasetyo, emphasised that the public\nneed not worry about the availability of food supplies. Polri, he\nstated, will continue to work synergistically with Bulog to help\ndistribute food to communities in various regions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe coordinate and work together with Bulog for distribution to the\npublic. We guarantee adequate food availability, and price stability is\nthe most important part to ensure affordability for everyone,\u201d said\nPolice General Dedi Prasetyo.<\/p>\n<p>Through this cooperation, Polri will assist in distributing\napproximately 80,000 tonnes of rice and tens of thousands of kilolitres\nof cooking oil every month to keep food prices stable and affordable for\nthe public.<\/p>\n<p>Polri\u2019s support is considered important to ensure that the\ngovernment\u2019s policy in maintaining food price stability can truly be\nfelt by communities down to the consumer level.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Bulog\u2019s Director General Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani mentioned\nthe target for rice absorption in 2026 is approximately 4 million\ntonnes.
