        "content": "<p>Jakarta, VIVA \u2013 The Illegal Financial Activities Eradication Task\nForce (Satgas PASTI) has halted the operations of the Snapboost app,\nwhich promised its users income through liking and sharing content on\nvarious social media platforms.<\/p>\n<p>In its official statement, Satgas PASTI said the app was committing\nfraud under the guise of a social media monetisation platform, using a\nClick to Earn (C2E) system.<\/p>\n<p>The illegal activity was suspected of offering an investment scheme\nby asking members of the public to make deposits in order to carry out\nvarious tasks, such as liking content on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube\nand TikTok.<\/p>\n<p>Snapboost promised daily income, bonuses based on membership tiers,\ncommissions for recruiting new members (member get member), as well as\nprizes in the form of motorcycles and cars for members who deposited\ncertain amounts of funds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on the results of coordination, Snapboost is known to have no\nlegal entity or business licence in Indonesia, and the app\/website used\nis not registered as an Electronic System Operator (PSE) with the\nMinistry of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of\nIndonesia,\u201d Satgas PASTI said in its statement on Tuesday, 28 July\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Satgas PASTI also found indications that the\nperpetrators periodically changed link addresses (URLs) using various\ndifferent names, while retaining the same appearance, features and\noperational mechanisms, suggesting the sites were interconnected.<\/p>\n<p>Based on these indications, Satgas PASTI ultimately halted the\nactivity and blocked access to the app and related links (URLs).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSatgas PASTI is also coordinating with law enforcement agencies for\nfurther enforcement action in accordance with applicable regulations,\u201d\nSatgas PASTI said.<\/p>\n<p>Satgas PASTI also asked members of the public who felt harmed by the\nactivity to report it promptly to local law enforcement, in order to\nexpedite the handling process.<\/p>\n<p>The public was also reminded to remain cautious of investment offers\nor financial activities promising high returns in a short or implausible\ntimeframe, including those requiring upfront deposits and operating\nthrough sites or apps that frequently change their link addresses while\nretaining a similar appearance, features and operational mechanisms.<\/p>",
