        "content": "<p>Nusantara (ANTARA) - Indonesia\u2019s Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN)\nhas received a US$2.49 million grant from the United States Government\nto help strengthen smart city planning, reflecting international\nconfidence in the sustainable development of the country\u2019s new\ncapital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe grant support reflects international trust in the vision of\ndeveloping IKN as a future city based on technology and sustainability,\u201d\nsaid Head of the Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN), Basuki Hadimuljono,\nin Nusantara on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The project is supported through a grant from the U.S. Trade and\nDevelopment Agency (USTDA), aimed at promoting economic development in\ndeveloping countries while strengthening trade and investment\npartnerships.<\/p>\n<p>A cooperation contract for the technical assistance was signed at the\nOIKN office a day earlier, the authority said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis cooperation is a strategic step to strengthen planning of IKN\u2019s\nintegrated, investment-ready and implementable smart city blueprint, in\norder to accelerate Nusantara\u2019s transformation into a smart, sustainable\ncity that is attractive to global investors,\u201d Hadimuljono stated.<\/p>\n<p>The technical assistance will produce strategic and technical\ndocuments, including a Smart City Enterprise Architecture,\nprocurement-ready request-for-proposal packages, a financial and\ninvestment model, an ESG-compliant framework, a capacity-building\nroadmap and an implementation phasing plan<\/p>\n<p>OIKN said all of these components are designed to ensure that the\nimplementation of IKN\u2019s smart city is carried out in a structured and\ntransparent manner, aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance\n(ESG) principles, through a consortium-based project approach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDigital transformation is the main foundation of Nusantara\u2019s\ndevelopment. Moreover, the vision is very clear, Nusantara must become a\ngreen, sustainable, and fundamentally smart city,\u201d Hadimuljono\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Subhranshu Sekhar Das, an advisory board member of Frost\n&amp; Sullivan America and project director of the initiative, outlined\nthe long-term vision for developing a cognitive city.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNusantara has the opportunity to become more than just a smart city\n\u2014 it can evolve into a cognitive city.
