        "content": "<p>Indonesia's forex reserves rise to $16.05 billion<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's net foreign reserves rose to<br>\nUS$16.05 billion in the week ending on May 7 from $16.02 billion<br>\nthe previous week, the central bank said in its latest weekly<br>\nreport.<\/p>\n<p>Bank Indonesia attributed the increase in the country's net<br>\nforeign reserves to higher revenue from oil and gas exports.<\/p>\n<p>The central bank said the net international reserves were well<br>\nabove the $14.1 billion target set by the International Monetary<br>\nFund, which is organizing a bailout package for Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Gross international reserves -- net foreign exchange reserves<br>\nplus outstanding foreign exchange contracts -- increased to<br>\n$26.05 billion from $26 billion the previous week.<\/p>\n<p>Net claims on the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency<br>\nincreased to Rp 14.23 trillion from Rp 14.22 trillion the<br>\nprevious week, while net claims on the government rose by Rp 610<br>\nbillion to Rp 124.61 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>The central bank's open market selling of short-term<br>\npromissory notes and rupiah on currency markets resulted in a<br>\ngain of Rp 285 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The central bank said net domestic assets during the week fell<br>\nby Rp 251 billion to minus Rp 44.47 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>It noted the level was below the IMF-adjusted target of minus<br>\nRp 30.04 trillion.
