Indonesia's Dede Suhendar advances in Future-3<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian tennis player Dede Suhendar Dinata
\ncruised to the men's singles second round of the Extra Joss men's
\nFuture-3 on Tuesday after outclassing fellow countryman Andrian
\nRaturandang 6-2, 6-2 in a second-day first round match at the
\nKemayoran Tennis Center, Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Indonesian young hopeful Febi Widhiyanto bowed out to Marcel
\nDu Coudray of Mauritius 4-6, 4-6. Junior Eko Kurniawan also lost
\nto Japanese Akira Matsushita 0-6, 2-6.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday Dede will meet second seed Donavan September of
\nSouth Africa, who defeated qualifier Sonchat Ratiwatana of
\nThailand 6-1, 6-3.<\/p>\n
Du Coudray will play Willem Petr Meyer of South Africa, who
\nsurprisingly overcame teammate and no. 5 seed Rik De Voest 7-6
\n(7-4), 7-5. Austrian Luben Pampoulov comprehensively beat
\nJapanese Ryuso Tsujino 6-0, 6-4.<\/p>\n
Seventh seeded Robert Kendrick of the United States beat Vinod
\nSridhar of India 6-2, 6-2 and will face Japanese Tetsuya Chaen.
\nChaen went into the second round after a 6-1, 6-2 victory over
\nYasufumi Yamamoto of Japan.<\/p>\n
In the men's doubles event, Indonesia's top pair of Bonit
\nWiryawan and Sulistyo Wibowo proved too powerful for Alan Mackin
\nof Great Britain and Pampoulov.<\/p>\n
Bonit and Sulistyo won 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) and will play Leigh
\nHolland of Australia and Per Thorwadtsson of Sweden in the second
\nround on Wednesday. Holland and Thorwadtsson beat third seeds
\nTasuku Iwami and Tsujino of Japan 6-3, 6-4 on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Eko, who was paired with Edy Kusdaryanto, surprisingly beat
\nthe Japanese pair of Chaen and Matsushita 4-6, 6-4, 7-5. Eko and
\nEdy will meet No.4 seeds Hendri Susilo Pramono and Febi, who
\nbarely sweated beating Edo Bawono and Surya Wijaya 6-3, 6-1.<\/p>\n
Andrian and Suwandi outplayed teammates Yusmawan Fahmi and
\nAriawan Poerboadinoto 6-3, 6-4. They will meet second seeds De
\nVoest and Johan Du Randt of South Africa, who beat Ekkarin
\nPisuth-Arnont and Danai Udomchoke of Thailand 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 6-
\n4.<\/p>\n
Top seed Mustaf Ghouse of India and Le Minh of the United
\nStates beat Du Coudray and Meyer 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) to challenge
\nSouth Korean pair of Lee Seung-hun and Oh Seung-hoon, who beat
