        "content": "<p>Distribution through Pertamina gas stations had reached 90 percent,\nDirector General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation at the\nMinistry, Eniya Listiani Dewi, said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Eniya made the remarks after a working meeting with House of\nRepresentatives Commission XII at the Parliament Complex in Senayan,\nJakarta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s between 75-80 percent for total distribution. But the\ndistribution from Pertamina gas stations is already at 90 percent,\u201d\nEniya said.<\/p>\n<p>According to Eniya, the ministry continues to monitor B50\ndistribution and will increase monitoring and evaluation to ensure the\nprogram is implemented carefully.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry targets B50 distribution at all gas stations to reach\n100 percent by Oct.\u00a01, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, we will see in another month. We will continue to monitor it,\u201d\nEniya added.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia officially began implementing the mandatory B50 biodiesel\nin July 2026 as part of efforts to cut carbon emissions and strengthen\nnational energy security.<\/p>\n<p>Under the mandate, 50 percent of the diesel fuel blend must come from\nbiodiesel, continuing Indonesia\u2019s B30, B35, and B40 programs that have\nbeen implemented for more than a decade.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia is the first country in the world to implement a nationwide\nmandatory 50 percent biodiesel blend in diesel fuel, according to the\nMinistry of Energy and Mineral Resources.<\/p>\n<p>The B50 program is estimated to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by\nabout 44.46 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in 2026, following\nthe emissions reductions and foreign-exchange savings achieved through\nthe B40 program in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The government also projects that B50 will save up to about Rp170\ntrillion in foreign exchange in 2026, increase the added value of crude\npalm oil (CPO), and support around 2.1 million jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Related news: Airlangga says energy transition can drive new economic\ngrowth<\/p>\n<p>Translator: Putu Indah S, Martha Herlinawati Simanjuntak<\/p>",
