Kurniawan, The Jakarta Post, Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>Indonesian bowler Putty Armein won on Sunday the Asian Bowling<br>\nFederation (ABF) tour women's final at home after beating<br>\nteammate Novie Phang 193-187.<\/p>\n<p>Both bowlers appeared to have the jitters in the final match,<br>\nwhich was attended by the Indonesian National Sport Committee<br>\n(KONI) Chairman Agum Gumelar.<\/p>\n<p>In early frames, Novie succeeded with double strikes, while<br>\nPutty was forced to settle for spares.<\/p>\n<p>But Putty was able to bounce back by making double strikes<br>\nafter several poor shots.<\/p>\n<p>Putty also had some luck in the final as she only made one<br>\nsplit, while Novie made two splits with the last split being made<br>\nin the final frame.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier on Sunday, Putty played much better in the semifinals<br>\nby defeating Evelyn Chan of Singapore 246-216.<\/p>\n<p>In the other semifinal, Novie also made a high score of 236 to<br>\nbeat Lai Kin Ngoh of Malaysia, who scored 204.<\/p>\n<p>\"Well, in the final, I was so nervous, but thank God, I<br>\nfinally won,\" she said after her victory.<\/p>\n<p>With her victory, Putty earned the first prize of $2,500,<br>\nwhile Novie took home $1,300.<\/p>\n<p>In men's singles, Shaker Al Hassan of the United Arab Emirates<br>\nwon the final after beating Wu Siu Hong of Hongkong 238-236.<\/p>\n<p>Shaker took the first prize of $5,000.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesian hope Lie Joe Tjam lost in the first round.<\/p>",
