        "content": "<p>A team of doctoral students from Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) has\norganised an international community service programme at Universiti Tun\nHussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in Johor, aimed at strengthening artificial\nintelligence (AI) literacy among prospective teachers. The programme,\ntitled \u2018AI for Smart Learning: Enhancing Digital Literacy, Learning\nEngagement, and Future Workforce Skills through the Use of Artificial\nIntelligence\u2019, was held on Sunday, 22 June, as part of an International\nMobility Programme with the Johor Business School. It was designed to\nequip teacher trainees with an understanding of how to utilise AI\nethically and responsibly in education. Team leader Yulius Yuwono\nSaputra stated that the rapid development of AI has transformed many\naspects of life, including the education sector. \u2018Therefore, future\nteachers need to understand how to use this technology as a learning\nsupport tool without diminishing students\u2019 critical thinking abilities,\u2019\nhe said. The programme employed a participatory counselling method,\ncovering stages from preparation and material delivery to group\ndiscussions, presentation drafting, and reflection sessions. Topics\nincluded the challenges of AI use in education, digital ethics, academic\nintegrity, plagiarism prevention, strengthening critical thinking\nskills, and AI-based learning strategies. In the main session,\npresenters Aji Kresno Murti and Rully Arifiansyah introduced a learning\napproach that positions AI as a partner in the learning process through\na \u2018Ask, Understand, Analyse, Create, and Evaluate\u2019 framework. This\napproach is expected to help teachers use AI productively without\nreplacing the primary role of human thought. The programme involved ten\ndoctoral students from UNJ across various disciplines. Beyond AI in\neducation, participants also received materials on the application of AI\nin investment, digital marketing, digital governance, digital payment\nsystems, strategic management, and anti-money laundering measures.\nParticipants were also tasked with creating learning products in the\nform of presentations containing case studies, classroom AI strategies,\nethical principles, and critical thinking-based learning activities.\nEvaluations showed that all groups successfully produced presentations\nincorporating ethical principles of AI use and learning activity designs\nthat promote critical thinking. Yulius concluded that through this\nactivity, the UNJ doctoral student team hopes academic collaboration\nbetween Indonesia and Malaysia will continue to grow, while\nstrengthening the readiness of future educators to face digital\ntransformation through the ethical, critical, and responsible use of\nAI.<\/p>",
