        "content": "<p>Indonesian rowers off for European outing<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta Post, Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian rowing team left for Europe on Tuesday for<br>\ntraining before their departure to the Asian Games in Busan,<br>\nSouth Korea in September.<\/p>\n<p>The team comprises Jamaludin, Azwar, Agus Budiaji, Aldino,<br>\nRahmat, Rudiana, and three women rowers, Pere Coroba, Angelina<br>\nOhelo and Wenny Rano. They are accompanied by training director<br>\nBudiman, coaches Syafril and Cores Sahupala.<\/p>\n<p>The national team is scheduled to take part in a two-day NRSF<br>\nTournament in the Netherlands, followed by a week-long training<br>\nstint under former coach Dedrick Forder.<\/p>\n<p>Forder took charge of the Indonesian team at the 1998 Asian<br>\nGames in Bangkok.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We want to build on our power. We are familiar with Forder&apos;s<br>\nway of coaching so hopefully the lads will have no problem in<br>\ntraining with him,&quot; Syafril told reporters after a meeting with<br>\nthe officials of the National Sports Council (KONI) here on<br>\nTuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Syafril said that although his squad would only be taking on<br>\ncollege students at the Dutch tournament this weekend, he<br>\nasserted the challenge was undoubtedly going to be tough.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Considering these student participants take part in<br>\ntournaments almost every week, this is going to be a good event<br>\nfor our rowers to test their skills,&quot; he said.<\/p>\n<p>After their Dutch outing, the Indonesians will up their level<br>\nof competition when they take part in the World Championships in<br>\nLausanne, Switzerland, from July 12 to 14.<\/p>\n<p>As regards their chances at the Asian Games, Syafril said they<br>\nwould face strong opponents but they were looking forward to<br>\nbeing challenged in the men&apos;s double-scull and 4-scull events.<\/p>",
