        "content": "<p>The cooperation was discussed during a meeting between Indonesia\u2019s\nDeputy Chief of Police Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo and UN Police\nAdviser Faisal Shahkar in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>In the meeting, Deputy Chief of Police Commissioner General Dedi\nPrasetyo expressed his appreciation for the continued trust placed in\nPolri in supporting UN peace missions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe express our gratitude for the trust placed in Polri, enabling\nthem to continue actively contributing to global peace missions, both\nthrough deploying personnel and increasing human resource capacity,\u201d he\nsaid in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>As part of its capacity building efforts, Polri is currently holding\nthe Annual FPU Commanders Workshop on April 20\u201324, 2026, and will also\nconduct the Annual Commanders Strategic Course in July as a systematic\neffort to improve the professionalism and readiness of personnel for\ninternational missions.<\/p>\n<p>In its field contributions, Indonesia has assigned 140 formed police\nunit (FPU) personnel to the MINUSCA mission in the Central African\nRepublic and 51 individual police officer (IPO) personnel across five\nmissions:<\/p>\n<p>14 personnel to MINUSCA (Central Africa);<\/p>\n<p>19 personnel to UNMISS (South Sudan);<\/p>\n<p>9 personnel to MONUSCO (Democratic Republic of the Congo);<\/p>\n<p>6 personnel to UNFICYP (Cyprus);<\/p>\n<p>3 personnel to UNISFA (Abyei).<\/p>\n<p>Dedi further emphasized that the safety and security of personnel is\na top priority.<\/p>\n<p>Polri, he emphasized, will strengthen coordination and cooperation\nwith the UN to ensure effective implementation of its duties in the\nfield.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPersonnel safety is our top priority.
