        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 The Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) has despatched secondary\nschool students, Islamic boarding school pupils, and university\nundergraduates to participate in an intensive Islamic retreat aboard the\nIndonesian Navy Warship (KRI) Semarang 594, departing from the Naval\nCommand Port (Kolinlamil) in North Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Navy organised this programme to develop the character of young\nIndonesians, fostering religious devotion, love of country, and\ndignity.<\/p>\n<p>The Commander of the Navy Staff (KSAL), Admiral Muhammad Ali, stated\nat a press conference at Kolinlamil in North Jakarta that the activity\nwas timed to coincide with the occasion of Ramadhan 1447 Hijriah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe participants total approximately 400 people, consisting of\nsecondary school students, university undergraduates, youth from\nmosques, and members of religious organisations based in the\nJakarta-Bogor-Depok region,\u201d Ali said.<\/p>\n<p>Ali explained that the activity would run for three days, from 11\nMarch 2026 to 13 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>During the three-day voyage across Jakarta Bay, participants will\nengage in several activities including listening to religious lectures,\nperforming Tarawih prayers, performing Tahajud prayers, studying\nreligious history, and attending religious study sessions.<\/p>\n<p>In carrying out the programme, Ali continued, the Navy involved\nseveral parties, including the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), the\nMinistry of Religious Affairs, and the National Zakat Board\n(Baznas).<\/p>\n<p>The Navy Commander ensured that the programme would continue\nthroughout Ramadhan and be implemented across all Navy command\nheadquarters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have not yet implemented this type of programme in other cities,\nbut it is possible that our naval bases and regional commands will carry\nout similar initiatives on a smaller scale in their respective areas,\u201d\nAli said.<\/p>",
