Wiwin bin Marka of Subang, West Java, an Indonesian woman who
\nworked in Saudi Arabia, died at the police hospital in Kramat
\nJati, allegedly after drinking something that her Saudi Arabian
\nemployer said would make her work faster.<\/p>\n
The problems involving Indonesian migrant workers in Saudi
\nArabia and other countries are quite complicated because of the
\ndifferent perceptions of the positions of these workers in
\nforeign lands.<\/p>\n
Often employed as maids, Indonesian women migrant workers are
\noften regarded and treated as slaves. Of course, some of them are
\nfortunate enough not to be treated in this way.<\/p>\n
The government has made an opportune decision to set up
\nsomething like a commission to deal with the problems that our
\nmigrant workers often face.<\/p>\n
