Indonesian language Web script launched<\/p>\n

A computer expert has launched the first Indonesian language-
\nbased computer script, which will make it easier for Indonesians
\nto make computer programs or applications.<\/p>\n
The script is named Sony Sugema Script (S3) after its creator,
\nSony Sugema, who now serves as the chairman of the foundation
\nwhich owns Bandung's Informatics Technology College (STTIS).<\/p>\n
The common script is based in English, but Germans and
\nJapanese have made scripts based on their own language.<\/p>\n
"The launch of S3 proves that Indonesian people are equal to
\nother peoples in terms of (computer) programming," the foundation
\nsaid in a statement on Monday.<\/p>\n
The S3 had a default in Indonesian but could be set in
\nJavanese and Sundanese, it said.<\/p>\n
The script had a similar function to English-based scripts
\nwhich the industry had long been familiar with, such as Active
\nServer Page (ASP) and Hypertext Prepossor (PHP), the statement
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
It said S3 was easy to use, because it used Indonesian and
\ndirectly integrated with the existing technologies such as
\nActiveX, ADO and ODBC.<\/p>\n
It is available free of charge on the following websites:
\nwww.sttis.ac.id and www.qcollege.com.<\/p>\n
It is also an "open source" which means anyone can download
\nthe script for free and further develop it themselves.<\/p>",
