        "content": "<p>The ministry\u2019s Director General of National Export Development,\nFajarini Puntodewi, said the achievement reflects Taiwan\u2019s growing\nconfidence in the quality of Indonesian food products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe potential transactions of US$5 million show that Indonesian food\nproducts have quality, added value, and competitiveness that are\nincreasingly recognized in the Taiwan market,\u201d Puntodewi said in a\nstatement here on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The potential transactions were also the result of the synergy among\nthe Indonesian Economic and Trade Office (KDEI) Taipei, the Ministry of\nTrade, and the Indonesian Food and Beverage Producers Association\n(Gapmmi), as well as other partners.<\/p>\n<p>Head of KDEI in Taipei Arif Sulistiyo said Indonesia\u2019s participation\nin the exhibition is part of the government\u2019s strategy to expand export\nmarkets while connecting Indonesian businesses with potential\nbuyers.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 20 Indonesian businesses showcased a wide range of\nflagship food products that are high-quality, innovative, and\nvalue-added, enabling them to compete in the global market.<\/p>\n<p>The products on display included edible bird\u2019s nests, seafood, fruit\nsnacks, low-calorie noodles, honey, coffee, spices, premium sauces and\nseasonings, sago palm sugar, and various processed fishery products.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ministry of Trade data, total trade between Indonesia\nand Taiwan reached US$3.10 billion in January-April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The figure comprised Indonesia\u2019s exports to Taiwan worth US$1.59\nbillion and imports from Taiwan totaling US$1.51 billion.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Indonesia recorded a trade surplus of US$80 million.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, total trade between Indonesia and Taiwan reached US$9.95\nbillion in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia\u2019s exports to Taiwan were recorded at US$5.54 billion, while\nimports from Taiwan stood at US$4.41 billion.
