        "content": "<p>The Indonesian Embassy in Ankara held the Red and White Festival to\ncommemorate the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia\u2019s\nindependence.<\/p>\n<p>More than a thousand participants, including members of the\nIndonesian community, Turkish citizens, ambassadors of friendly nations,\nand members of the diplomatic corps, joined in enlivening the event held\nin Ankara on Saturday (15\/8).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Red and White Festival is not only a celebration of Indonesian\nindependence, but also a celebration of friendship,\u201d said Indonesian\nAmbassador to T\u00fcrkiye Achmad Rizal Purnama in a statement from the\nIndonesian Embassy in Ankara on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, for a moment, we bring Indonesia to the heart of Ankara. The\nspirit of independence that we celebrate together also serves as a\nreminder of the journey towards Indonesia Maju 2045\u2014a future built on\noptimism,\u201d Ambassador Rizal added.<\/p>\n<p>The festival provided an opportunity to introduce the richness of\nIndonesian culture to the Turkish public.<\/p>\n<p>Various traditional games and competitions, an Indonesian bazaar,\ndoor prizes, as well as music and dance performances contributed to a\nlively atmosphere and brought a touch of Indonesia to the centre of\nAnkara.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia\u2019s cultural diversity was showcased through a number of\ntraditional performances, including Ribang Kemambang from South Sumatra,\nKembang Jatoh from Jakarta, and the iconic Kecak Dance from Bali.<\/p>\n<p>The festival was further enlivened by performances from Karisik Band,\nIndonesian students from Sakarya, as well as Indonesian artists Echa and\nArumi.<\/p>\n<p>Various door prizes added to the excitement of the event, ranging\nfrom electronic devices to the grand prize of round-trip flight tickets\nbetween T\u00fcrkiye and Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>These prizes not only served as an attraction for participants, but\nalso opened opportunities for the winners to get to know and experience\nIndonesia first-hand.<\/p>\n<p>Children and adults alike enthusiastically took part in various\ncompetitions inspired by the traditions of Indonesian Independence Day\ncelebrations.
