        "content": "<p>Based on field team reports and coordination with Saudi authorities,\nMr Muhammad Firdaus was found to have died, said Moh Hasan Afandi, Head\nof the Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, quoted\nby Antara on Friday, 22 May 2026. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the\nRepublic of Indonesia expressed deep condolences over the death of Mr\nFirdaus. \u201cInnalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji\u2019un. We, the entire Indonesian\nHajj Affairs delegation (PPIH) in Saudi Arabia, express our deep\ncondolences over the passing of the late, and may Allah the Almighty\nshower His mercy and forgiveness upon him, and grant patience to the\nfamily left behind,\u201d Hasan said. Hasan thanked the family of the\ndeceased, the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in\nJeddah, Saudi authorities, the Saudi hospital, the Hajj officers who\nconducted the search, and all Indonesians who prayed during the search.\nHe said that the government through the PPIH in Saudi Arabia will\nprepare a badal haji to be performed by Hajj officers for the deceased.\n\u201cThe government through PPIH Saudi Arabia will arrange a badal haji to\nbe performed by Hajj officers for the deceased,\u201d Hasan said. If the pilgrim does not know\nthe direction or needs assistance, accompany them to the nearest\nofficer, service post, or report to the sector and batch officers,\u201d\nHasan said. Hasan reminded not to allow pilgrims to walk alone without\naccompaniment, especially those requiring more attention. Interpersonal\ncare is vital to reduce the risk of pilgrims getting lost or separated\nfrom their group. \u201cDo not allow pilgrims to walk alone without\naccompaniment. The care of each mother and father is very important to\nreduce the likelihood of pilgrims becoming lost or separated from their\ngroup,\u201d Hasan said. The Ministry of Hajj also urged pilgrims needing\nassistance not to hesitate to convey their conditions and needs to the\nofficers.
