        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com \u2013 The performance of exports of motorcycles in\ncompletely built-up (CBU) form from Indonesia experienced a correction\nin March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Based on data from the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association,\nshipments to global markets in that month were recorded at 48,970 units,\ndown from February\u2019s figure of 57,688 units.<\/p>\n<p>On a monthly basis, the decline in CBU exports in March 2026 amounted\nto approximately 15.1% compared to February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, the overall trend still shows positive performance.\nFrom January to March 2026, total CBU motorcycle exports reached 159,582\nunits. This figure is higher than the same period last year, which was\nonly 134,775 units.<\/p>\n<p>This means a cumulative increase of around 18.4%, signalling that\nglobal demand for Indonesian-assembled motorcycles remains steady.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur motorcycle products are actually very competitive, especially\nwith the weakening rupiah, which should make them even more\ncompetitive,\u201d said Sigit to Kompas.com recently.<\/p>\n<p>However, this optimism is still overshadowed by external challenges.\nGeopolitical uncertainties and the global economy, which has not fully\nrecovered, remain the main obstacles for exports.<\/p>\n<p>With these conditions, although March saw a decline, Indonesia\u2019s\noverall motorcycle export performance remains on a positive track.
