The statement was made by Army Information Chief Brigadier\nGeneral Donny Pramono in Jakarta on Wednesday, addressing the\ncontroversy surrounding a circular from the Directorate General of Taxes\n(DJP) at the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are not granting authority to Babinsa to conduct supervision,\naudits, tax collection, or law enforcement in the field of taxation,\u201d\nDonny stated. He explained that the army\u2019s involvement was mentioned in\nDJP Circular Number SE-8\/PJ\/2026, specifically within the context of\ndata collection and building information networks to support the DJP\u2019s\nduties. The circular referenced Bintara Pembina Desa (Babinsa) and\nBhayangkara Pembina Keamanan dan Ketertiban Masyarakat (Bhabinkamtibmas)\nin this regard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn that context, the mention of Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas is\nwithin the aspect of building regional information networks,\u201d Donny\nclarified.
