        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Ambassador to Japan Nurmala Kartini\nPandjaitan Sjahrir reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening\nIndonesia-Japan relations after presenting an official copy of her\nletter of credence at Japan\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (17\nFebruary).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth nations are committed to strengthening diplomatic relations and\nenhancing cooperation across various strategic areas, including defence\nand security, the economy, people-to-people exchanges, and improving the\nquality of human resources,\u201d Kartini said, as quoted in a press release\nfrom the Indonesian Embassy in Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p>The two countries also agreed to intensify the implementation of the\nIndonesia-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership as a foundation for\nsustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Kartini was accompanied by Deputy Ambassador Maria Renata Hutagalung\nand Protocol and Consular Function Coordinator Dara Yusilawati when she\npresented the copy of the letter of credence to Chief of Protocol at\nJapan\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Miyashita Tadayuki.<\/p>\n<p>Kartini stated that the occasion represented an important step in\nstrengthening diplomatic relations and cooperation between the two\nnations.<\/p>\n<p>With a spirit of collaboration, she said, both countries are believed\nto be capable of continuing to move forward as close and trusted\nstrategic partners.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation of the official copy of the letter of credence marks\nthe formal commencement of Kartini Sjahrir\u2019s duties as Ambassador\nExtraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan, concurrently accredited to\nthe Federated States of Micronesia.<\/p>\n<p>The original letter of credence is scheduled to be presented to\nEmperor Naruhito of Japan in the near future.<\/p>",
