        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Ambassador to China Djauhari Oratmangun\nstated that Indonesia-China economic cooperation is currently\nprioritised in national strategic sectors, particularly industrial\ndownstreaming.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst priority is downstreaming, as I have personally witnessed that\nnickel downstreaming has led to exports of derivative products exceeding\n1,000% growth to China last year,\u201d he said in Jakarta on Tuesday\n(26\/5).<\/p>\n<p>Meeting during the Indonesia-China business forum and the\nestablishment of the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB)\nAlumni Association, Djauhari said downstreaming collaboration includes\ndeveloping electric vehicle ecosystems and industrial hubs across\nregions.<\/p>\n<p>He also identified opportunities in energy transformation, including\nwaste-to-energy (WtE), solar panels, and electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the industrial sector, Djauhari highlighted durian as a\npromising food commodity for the Chinese market.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, high Chinese consumer interest in fruits presents\nsignificant opportunities for Indonesian durian exports.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe total value of China\u2019s durian market reaches $7.5 billion. If we\ncapture just 10% this year, we could earn $750 million,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Djauhari added that Indonesia and China are exploring new sectors\nsuch as digital economy and artificial intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, infrastructure remains a top priority in the two\ncountries\u2019 economic relations.<\/p>\n<p>He noted the success of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Rail project\ndemonstrates the strong potential for Indonesia-China synergy in\ninfrastructure projects.<\/p>\n<p>Djauhari further stated Indonesia is currently strengthening\ncollaboration with China in health infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeveloping a health ecosystem is a promising area for future\ncooperation with China,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He assessed that the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the importance of\nstrengthening health infrastructure to address future risks.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, Indonesia continues to push for collaboration with China\nin biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and hospital construction to build a\nstronger national health ecosystem.<\/p>",
