Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian National Armed Forces Air Force\n(TNI AU) and the Singapore Air Force are strengthening their relations\nand have agreed to build cooperation in the military field.<\/p>\n
This was confirmed after the Chief of Staff of the TNI AU (KSAU),\nMarshal TNI Mohamad Tonny Harjono, met with the Chief of Staff-Air Staff\n(COS-AS) of the RSAF, Brigadier General Ho Kum Luen, at the TNI AU\nHeadquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Monday (20\/4).<\/p>\n
In an official press release received in Jakarta on Wednesday, it was\nexplained that both parties discussed cooperation in the areas of combat\ntraining, soldier education, and strengthening the quality of human\nresources (HR) in warfare technology.<\/p>\n
The Head of the TNI AU Information Service (Kadispenau), First\nMarshal TNI I Nyoman Suadnyana, when confirmed in Jakarta, said that\nboth parties also discussed cooperation in disaster management and\nhumanitarian operations.<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth parties discussed strengthening cooperation through joint\nexercises and opportunities for collaboration in the field of\nHumanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR),\u201d said I Nyoman.<\/p>\n
I Nyoman continued that the Singapore Air Force side welcomed the\ncooperation plan.<\/p>\n
The RSAF side, continued I Nyoman, also appreciated the involvement\nof the Jupiter Aerobatic Team from the TNI AU, which had previously\nperformed at the Singapore Airshow some time ago.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, the KSAU also appreciated the RSAF for the\ncooperation that has been established with the TNI AU so far.<\/p>\n
