        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono stated that\nIndonesia will send 780 personnel from the Indonesian National Armed\nForces (TNI) to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) on\n22 May 2026. \u201cThe date is 22 (May 2026). (A total of) 780 personnel (TNI\nsoldiers departing for UNIFIL),\u201d said Sugiono, who was met after a joint\npress statement between Indonesia and Singapore in Jakarta on Tuesday.\nMeanwhile, spokesperson for the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs\n(Kemlu), Yvonne Mewengkang, stated that the deployment of TNI troops to\nUNIFIL represents the Republic of Indonesia\u2019s commitment to maintaining\nworld peace. Yvonne also expressed that the deaths of three Indonesian\nUNIFIL soldiers at the end of March 2026 is a matter of great regret.\n\u201cBut our commitment to peace and in accordance with our constitutional\nmandate must of course continue,\u201d she added. Nevertheless, Yvonne\nemphasised that the safety and security of the peacekeeping troops is\nnon-negotiable.
