        "content": "<p>The ministry\u2019s Secretary, Gunawan Suswantoro, said the National\nSports Academy and National Team Training Center will be built to\nsupport the development of 21 priority sports designated by President\nPrabowo Subianto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe goal is to train selected athletes to become world-class\nathletes,\u201d he said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>All sports facilities and infrastructure will be built in an\nintegrated manner on 500 hectares of land designated by the central\ngovernment in the Candali-Cimulang area of Rancabungur Sub-district.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the facilities stretch beyond competition and\ntraining arenas, but also education centers, sports research, and\nathlete dormitories. The sports facilities provided include aquatics,\nathletics, badminton, rock climbing, soccer, martial arts, and rowing,\nall of which are listed as 21 nationally superior sports.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the area will also be equipped with a special athlete\nschool for elementary, middle, and high school levels to support the\nlong-term development of young athletes.<\/p>\n<p>Suswantoro said athletes joining the sports academy will be drawn\nfrom across the country through a selection process focused on their\npotential and performance in their respective sports.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of the national sports center is estimated to cost\naround Rp5 trillion (US$277 million) over a three-year period.
