        "content": "<p>The Indonesian government continues to strengthen international\ncooperation as part of its strategy to promote sustainable economic\ngrowth, expand investment, and accelerate technology- and clean\nenergy-based economic transformation. Strong bilateral partnerships are\nkey to navigating global dynamics while opening mutually beneficial\ncollaboration opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor me, this first state visit is very important. I consider Korea a\nclose friend of Indonesia, and I want to enhance this cooperation,\u201d\nstated President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto in his\nremarks on Thursday (2\/4\/2026). He made this statement during a state\nvisit at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Korea, Cheong Wa Dae\n(Blue House), Seoul, on Wednesday (1\/4).<\/p>\n<p>As a manifestation of this commitment, Prabowo directly witnessed the\nannouncement and exchange of 10 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs)\nbetween the Government of Indonesia and the Government of the Republic\nof Korea.<\/p>\n<p>The exchange of MoUs reflects the strengthening of the strategic\npartnership between the two countries, which continues to develop with a\nlong-term orientation. The agreements reached cover various priority\nsectors, from economy, energy, and digital to health and future\nindustries.<\/p>\n<p>In detail, the cooperation includes the establishment of a\ncomprehensive strategic dialogue, strengthening economic cooperation\n2.0, developing critical minerals partnerships, and cooperation in\nartificial intelligence (AI) for basic health and human development.\nAdditionally, cooperation also encompasses strengthening in clean\nenergy, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and offshore power generation\nservices industry.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the two countries are also strengthening collaboration\nin the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights as\nwell as financial cooperation, including partnerships between Danantara\nIndonesia and the Export-Import Bank of Korea. Overall, these agreements\nare expected to strengthen the national industrial foundation while\nenhancing the economic competitiveness of both countries.<\/p>\n<p>This cross-sectoral cooperation also serves as a concrete step in\ndriving economic transformation towards a more inclusive,\ninnovation-based, and sustainable direction. The synergy between\nIndonesia and the Republic of Korea is expected to accelerate the\ndevelopment of future industries, including digital technology, new\nrenewable energy, and strengthening global supply chains.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, this collaboration further affirms Indonesia\u2019s position\nas a strategic partner in the Indo-Pacific region, leveraging the\nadvantages of domestic resources and markets, supported by South Korean\ntechnology and industrial capacity.
