        "content": "<p>The programs are aimed at strengthening the industrial structure,\nincreasing value added, expanding markets, and driving industrial\ntransformation, Agus said at a working meeting with House of\nRepresentatives Commission VII in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Industry Ministry has set several key programs for 2027, which\nare essentially focused on strengthening the foundation of the national\nindustrial sector,\u201d Agus said.<\/p>\n<p>The programs align with the direction of development under the\ngovernment\u2019s 2027 Draft Government Work Plan, which targets economic\ngrowth of 5.8 percent and manufacturing growth of 5.86 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The plan also targets the manufacturing sector contributing 21.5\npercent to gross domestic product, Agus said.<\/p>\n<p>The eight programs include developing an industrial workforce,\nstrengthening small and medium industries as part of supply chains, and\nadvancing natural resource-based downstream processing and priority\nindustries.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry will also seek to boost industrial productivity through\ninnovation and technology, increase the use of domestically made\nproducts, develop the halal industry, accelerate exports of industrial\nservices, and promote green industry.<\/p>\n<p>Another priority is industrial agglomeration through industrial\nestates, the ministry said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese eight programs are instruments to ensure that the agendas of\nstrengthening the domestic market, increasing productivity, downstream\nprocessing, industrial transformation, and expanding markets, as\ndirected in the 2027 Government Work Plan, can continue,\u201d Agus said.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry, however, faces budget constraints in implementing the\nindustrial development agenda.
