The\nannouncement was made at the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace\n(BoP).<\/p>\n<p>ISF Commander Major General Jasper Jeffers delivered the news,\nconfirming that Indonesia had accepted the offer to become Deputy\nCommander of the ISF.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have offered and Indonesia has accepted the position of deputy\ncommander for the ISF,\u201d Jeffers said, as reported by AFP on Friday\n(20\/2\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Jeffers affirmed that the ISF\u2019s presence would ensure security in\nGaza, stating that lasting peace could thereby be achieved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith these initial steps, we will help bring the security that Gaza\nneeds for future prosperity and lasting peace,\u201d Jeffers said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the ISF would focus on stabilising conditions in Gaza\nto enable civilian governance to function.
