        "content": "<p>Indonesia seeks Hungarian vaccine<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia is interested in producing a Hungarian prototype human<br>\nbird flu vaccine amid fears of outbreaks of the deadly virus in<br>\ndozens of countries.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Foreign Affairs Hassan Wirayuda said here on<br>\nThursday that Indonesia was exploring the possibility of getting<br>\na license to locally produce the Hungarian prototype human bird<br>\nflu vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono asked him to look into the<br>\npossibility of obtaining a license for the local production of<br>\nsuch a vaccine, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Hungary's Minister of Health Jeno Racz said last week<br>\ncountries, including the United States, Britain and Indonesia,<br>\nhad expressed an interest in the prototype, set to be approved by<br>\nthe European Medicines Agency.<\/p>\n<p>He was quoted by AFP as saying Hungary's prototype human<br>\nvaccine is effective against the deadly H5N1 strain.<\/p>\n<p>Racz said tests on some 150 volunteers had shown the vaccine<br>\nto be effective \"beyond doubt\", with all volunteers developing<br>\nantibodies to the disease.<\/p>\n<p>Hassan also said Indonesia would ask that Avian Flu issues be<br>\ndiscussed at an APEC Summit next month in South Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Hassan stated that the supply of Tamiflu, an<br>\nantiviral drug produced by Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche and<br>\nused to treat those with bird flu, was limited due to high demand<br>\nfollowing outbreaks of bird flu in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>\"It's not easy to get Tamiflu now.
