        "content": "<p>Indonesia\u2019s Deputy Agriculture Minister Sudaryono made the remarks\nwhile receiving Poland\u2019s Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural\nDevelopment Ma\u0142gorzata Gromadzka in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>He said Indonesia continues to promote stronger international\ncooperation in agriculture as a strategic step to safeguard food\nsecurity, including leveraging opportunities from the European Union\n(EU) free trade agreement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIndonesia is an open country. We are non-aligned, and we are ready\nto cooperate with anyone, including in trade, both exports and imports,\nas well as investment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that amid global pressures such as conflicts, wars, and\nsupply chain disruptions, cooperation must be concrete through expanded\nmarket access, simplified technical procedures, and stronger\nagricultural investment and research.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, both countries discussed opportunities and\nchallenges in trading strategic commodities.<\/p>\n<p>Poland is seeking to export products such as beef, dairy, wheat, and\nberries, while Indonesia emphasized the importance of meeting health\nstandards, veterinary certification, and audit requirements before\nmarket access is granted.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia also maintains a cautious stance on certain commodities,\nsuch as poultry, due to biosecurity concerns and the need to protect\ndomestic production. However, opportunities remain open for other\ncommodities that meet technical standards and domestic demand.<\/p>\n<p>The two countries agreed to strengthen cooperation through a\ntechnical working group to accelerate trade protocols, including for\nbeef and dairy products.<\/p>\n<p>Cooperation will also be expanded through business meetings,\ninvestment exploration, and potential signing of a memorandum of\nunderstanding to support long-term collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Gromadzka said cooperation with Indonesia has strong potential, as\nboth countries have complementary production characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very pleased to visit Indonesia and discuss agricultural\nproducts.
