Indonesia rules Singapore's waves<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The national scullers earned a morale-boosting
\nwin ahead of the Southeast Asian Games in Chiang Mai when they
\nclinched victory in the Singapore international invitational
\ndragon boat race on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The Indonesian men's rowers completed the 750-meter course in
\nthree minutes and 14.28 seconds to beat New Zealand by 5.56
\nseconds. Host Singapore managed to gain third place in a time of
\n3:27.01.<\/p>\n
Indonesia's winning streak continued in the women's event when
\nit gained a convincing one-two finish at the Sentosa regatta. The
\nIndonesia A team clocked 4:25.42 ahead of its compatriots in the
\nB team, who made it in 4:40.28 for second place.<\/p>\n
Secretary-General of the Indonesian Rowing Association,
\nBudiman Setiawan, said the national men's team would now fly to
\nHong Kong and to Yeu Yang, China, for other traditional boat race
