        "content": "<p>Speaking during a video conference on Tuesday, State Secretary\nMinister Prasetyo Hadi said the current global situation demands all\nnations, including Indonesia, to adapt to efficiency measures and the\nshift in people\u2019s activity patterns.<\/p>\n<p>He said the momentum provides an opportunity for all sectors of\nsociety to begin streamlining work methods, mobility patterns, and daily\nenergy consumption.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are beginning to shift our culture and transform to navigate the\ngeopolitical dynamics that are affecting every nation globally,\u201d Hadi\nasserted.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized that this transformation includes changing public\ntransportation habits to reduce fuel consumption while simultaneously\nstrengthening national energy security.<\/p>\n<p>Hadi stated that the government appreciates various regional\ngovernment initiatives that have already begun promoting\nenergy-efficient mobility, such as encouraging employees to cycle to\nwork.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond cutting energy and fuel consumption, he noted that such steps\nwould also improve public health and fitness.<\/p>\n<p>The minister expressed hope that similar initiatives will be adopted\nby other regions across Indonesia as part of a collective movement\ntoward energy efficiency, work culture transformation, and national\nreadiness to address future geopolitical challenges.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the policy, the government will implement a work-from-home\n(WFH) scheme every Friday for civil servants starting April 1, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto noted\nthat this policy is valid starting from April 1, 2026, and will be\nevaluated after two months of implementation.<\/p>\n<p>He specified that several sectors are exempt from this WFH\narrangement.
