President Prabowo told reporters after the Board of Peace summit in\nWashington, DC, on Thursday that \u201cfor us, the two-state solution is the\nonly real and lasting solution.\u201d<\/p>\n
President Prabowo and several leaders from Muslim-majority nations\nattended the inaugural summit, held on Thursday morning at the Donald J.\nTrump Institute of Peace, formerly known as the United States Institute\nof Peace (USIP).<\/p>\n
The three-hour meeting was hosted and initiated by US President\nDonald Trump and featured a series of intervention sessions in which\neach participating leader, including President Prabowo, presented their\nofficial position.<\/p>\n
Prabowo described the first summit as successful, citing reports of\nprogress in restoring daily life in Gaza following the ceasefire. The\ndiscussions also addressed the board\u2019s future plans for recovery and\nreconstruction in the territory.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are determined to make it a success because it offers hope for\npeace,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The president added that during the summit he highlighted the\nnumerous challenges and obstacles facing efforts to restore stability in\nGaza.<\/p>\n
\u201cI also reminded them that there are many difficulties ahead \u2014 many\nhurdles and challenges \u2014 but we must remain determined to succeed for\nthe sake of the Palestinian people,\u201d Prabowo said.<\/p>\n
He also called on all parties to remain vigilant against potential\ndisruptions by groups seeking to undermine the board\u2019s efforts to\nachieve peace in Gaza.<\/p>\n
