        "content": "<p>The Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) promoted Indonesias<br>\ninvestment policy reforms in a business forum in Berlin, Germany, Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The business forum, which was attended by 250 German investors, was held<br>\nin connection with the visit of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), who also<br>\nattended the forum.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia explained in the forum about the facilities the Indonesian<br>\ngovernment will provide to all those who want to invest in Indonesia,<br>\nBKPM Chief Franky Sibarani said in a press statement here Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Would-be investors can simply visit the BKPM office to obtain investment<br>\nservices. The services included consultation and business permits and<br>\nfacilities once they realized their investment.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;BKPM serves as One Stop Shop for investment. Investors can simply meet<br>\nthe marketing officers in charge of German affairs to get assistance and<br>\nservices from 22 ministries\/state institutions at the one-stop<br>\nintegrated service center (PTSP) where would-be investors could handle<br>\nvarious business permits, a three-hour license service and assistance<br>\nwhen they are in the process of realizing their investment,&quot; the BKPM<br>\nhead said.<\/p>\n<p>Franky also stressed the governments commitment to carrying out<br>\ninvestment policy reforms to support the ease of doing business in<br>\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n<p>The BKPM chief also explained the revision of Negative Investment List<br>\n(DNI) for the industrial sector, pharmacy and e-commerce.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the BKPM data, the German investment in Indonesia in the<br>\n2010-2015 period totaled 547 projects worth US$552 million or Rp5.2<br>\ntrillion. The projects absorbed 38,382 workers.<\/p>\n<p>The German investment in Indonesia is relatively small when compared<br>\nwith its total investment around the world. FDI Markets Financial Times<br>\ndata showed that it only accounted for one percent of Germanys total<br>\ninvestment around the world.<br>\nPresident Jokowi, in the company of several ministers, met the chief<br>\nexecutive officers (CEOs) of German companies to draw more investment to<br>\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was held Monday at the Hotel Adlon Kempinsky in Berlin, the<br>\ncapital of the German Federal Republic.<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian representatives attending the meeting included<br>\nCoordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, Foreign<br>\nAffairs Minister Retno Marsudi, Head of the Investment Coordinating<br>\nBoard Franky Sibarani, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, in addition<br>\nto Indonesian Ambassador to Germany Fauzi Bowo.<\/p>\n<p>The CEOs from several German companies such as Mayer Werf GambH &amp; Co KG,<br>\nFerrostaal GmBh, and Bayer AG attended the meeting.<br>\nThe meeting kicked off the Presidents working visit to Germany.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Indonesia (Kadin) has<br>\ntargeted the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs)<br>\nbetween Indonesian and European companies to be realized during<br>\nPresident Jokowis visit to Europe from April 17 to 23, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>President Jokowi is scheduled to visit four countries: Germany, Britain,<br>\nBelgium, and the Netherlands. He is being accompanied by several<br>\nIndonesian entrepreneurs of Kadin, including its chairman, Rosan Perkasa<br>\nRoeslani.<\/p>\n<p>Rosan stated that the signing of MoUs in the presence of the President<br>\nwas a concrete step towards boosting economic growth in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The signing of MoUs in the presence of the President is a concrete<br>\ncontribution to the nations economic development,&quot; he affirmed.(*)<\/p>",
