The government, through the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), is\npreparing the Indonesian Tripartite Delegation ahead of the 114th\nInternational Labour Conference (ILC) to be held in Geneva, Switzerland,\nin early June 2026.<\/p>\n
Director General of Industrial Relations and Social Security at\nKemnaker, Indah Anggoro Putri, said the preparations provide a strategic\nplatform to unify the delegation\u2019s perspectives so Indonesia can have a\nstrong and coordinated position in discussing global labour agendas.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is because the presence of Indonesia\u2019s Tripartite Delegation at\nthe 114th ILC has a much broader strategic significance than just\nfulfilling an international invitation,\u201d Putri stated in Jakarta on\nThursday.<\/p>\n
The preparations held earlier this week in Jakarta were attended by\ngovernment representatives, trade unions, and employers as part of the\nIndonesian tripartite delegation participating in the international\nlabour forum organised by the International Labour Organization\n(ILO).<\/p>\n
Putri further highlighted four main urgencies for Indonesia\u2019s\ntripartite delegation: as an instrument for protecting national\ninterests, a diplomatic tool to influence global labour standards, a\nplatform to maintain stability in industrial and socio-economic\nrelations, and an opportunity to address workplace transformation due to\ndigitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n
\u201cActive Indonesian participation in shaping global standards will\ndetermine the nation\u2019s readiness to enhance labour competitiveness and\nnational economic strength in the future,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The Indonesian delegation will be led by Minister of Manpower\nYassierli, comprising representatives from government, trade unions, and\nemployers to safeguard Indonesia\u2019s labour interests on the global\nstage.<\/p>\n
Putri noted that the solid tripartite presence underscores\nIndonesia\u2019s commitment to promoting inclusive social dialogue and\nformulating fair and adaptive international labour policies in line with\nevolving times.<\/p>\n
The priority agendas for this year\u2019s ILC are divided into standing\nand technical items.<\/p>\n
Standing agendas include Reports of the Chairperson of the Governing\nBody and Director-General, Information on the Programme and Budget and\nOther Questions (CF), Information and Reports on the Applications of\nConventions and Recommendations, and Committee on the Application of\nStandards (CAN).<\/p>\n
Regarding the CAN agenda, Indonesia is positively not listed among\ncountries under evaluation or review, indicating that the country\u2019s\nlabour compliance is deemed good with no international convention\nviolation issues.<\/p>\n
