"summary": "Indonesia's Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia has announced the postponement of a planned increase in mining royalties for commodities such as copper, tin, nickel, gold, and silver, following public and entrepreneurial input. The delay aims to develop a balanced formulation that benefits both the state by optimising revenue and businesses by avoiding harm, with the initial proposal to raise rates from 1.5 percent to 3 percent based on commodity prices. This move reflects the government's effort to balance market dynamics amid high prices for gold and nickel while ensuring fair application to all players, including Freeport Indonesia.",
